Acceptable Use Policy

What can and cannot be hosted, sent or run on our network.

1. Prohibited content

Content that is unlawful in Australia, infringes intellectual property, depicts child abuse material, incites violence or hatred, or facilitates fraud, phishing or malware distribution is prohibited and will be removed without notice.

2. Prohibited activity

Sending unsolicited bulk email, operating open relays or open proxies, port scanning, denial-of-service activity, cryptocurrency mining on shared plans, distributing pirated software, and attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours.

Running long-lived background processes, public file-sharing or streaming nodes, or public VPN/Tor exit services on shared and reseller hosting.

3. Email sending

Shared hosting accounts are limited to 500 outbound messages per hour. Bulk and marketing email must be sent through a dedicated sending platform with verified opt-in lists, valid SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and a working unsubscribe link, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

4. Reporting and enforcement

Report abuse to abuse@myaustralianhost.com.au. We investigate every report and may warn, throttle, suspend or terminate a service depending on severity. Repeated or deliberate breaches result in termination without refund.
