Which records does the checker query?
A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA and CAA, plus a dedicated _dmarc lookup — resolved live through a global recursive resolver so you see what the internet sees.
Why do SPF and DMARC matter?
Without them, anyone can spoof email from your domain and your legitimate mail is far more likely to land in spam. They're the two highest-impact records most Australian businesses are missing.
My change isn't showing — why?
DNS caches respect your TTL. If your TTL is 3600 seconds, resolvers may serve the old answer for up to an hour. Lower the TTL before a planned migration.
What's a CAA record?
It restricts which certificate authorities may issue SSL certificates for your domain — a simple, effective guard against mis-issuance.
