How to point your domain to our nameservers

3 min read

Update your domain's nameservers so it resolves to your My Australian Host account.

Your nameservers tell the internet which server answers for your domain. After ordering hosting you will receive a welcome email containing your nameservers, usually ns1.myaustralianhost.com.au and ns2.myaustralianhost.com.au.

Log in to the client area, open Domains, choose your domain and select Nameservers. Pick 'Use custom nameservers' and enter the two nameservers from your welcome email, then save.

If the domain is registered elsewhere, make the same change at that registrar. DNS changes normally propagate across Australia within 30 minutes and worldwide within 24 hours.

You can confirm the change has taken effect by running a DNS lookup on your domain, or by contacting our support team who will check it for you.
